Pokémon TCG Pocket Everyday Wonders (B3b): Mega Diancie ex, New Strategies and Meta Predictions

Hola Everyone! It’s your boy Anketsu here, and welcome to a brand-new Pokémon TCG Pocket guide.

Everyday Wonders (B3b) is scheduled to release in Pokémon TCG Pocket on June 30, 2026, bringing a new mini expansion filled with adorable Pokémon, fresh strategies, and several cards that could shake up the current metagame.

But behind all the cute faces, several cards could have a major impact on the game. From the surprisingly powerful Mega Diancie ex to new Tool-based strategies and some intriguing deck ideas, here’s our complete breakdown of the trailer and our first impressions of the upcoming format.

Now grab a seat, relax, and enjoy the guide!

Everyday Wonders (B3b) is the upcoming mini expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, built around cute and relaxing themes featuring many beloved Pokémon enjoying peaceful moments under the warm sun or taking cozy naps.

Fan favorites such as Pikachu, Piplup, Growlithe, Yamper, and Rockruff are heavily represented, giving the set a similar vibe to Eevee Grove.

While the aesthetic direction is charming, some competitive players may wonder whether this is really the kind of content the current metagame needed. From a gameplay perspective, several cards stand out immediately.

Sylveon is a Psychic Stage 1 Pokémon with the Soothing Ribbon Ability, allowing it to heal 30 damage once per turn as long as it has a Tool attached, even from the Bench, making multiple Sylveon surprisingly annoying to deal with.

Dedenne ex introduces a new Tool-based strategy with Dede-Circuit, dealing 40 damage for each Tool attached to your Pokémon, while Hisuian Zoroark ex can potentially reach impressive numbers thanks to Spiteful Illusion, which gains additional damage based on the number of Pokémon in your discard pile.

However, the most intriguing card revealed so far is undoubtedly Mega Diancie ex. Its Brilliant Storm attack costs three Colorless Energy and deals 40 damage plus 20 more for each Psychic Energy attached to your Pokémon.

The design is somewhat contradictory: the Colorless cost suggests flexibility and splashability, yet the damage output heavily encourages Psychic-focused decks. Still, Mega Gardevoir ex may provide the missing piece, since its Ability can accelerate three Energy to a Benched Pokémon every time it attacks.

Reaching six to nine Psychic Energy on Mega Diancie ex is therefore realistic, allowing it to exceed 200 damage and potentially one-shot major threats such as Mega Altaria ex, Suicune ex, Miraidon ex, and Mega Blaziken ex.

The new Balloon Tool also looks noteworthy, reducing the Retreat Cost of Basic Pokémon and potentially giving another boost to Psychic and Sleep archetypes that rely on Igglybuff openings.

Meanwhile, cards such as Hisuian Goodra, Dedenne, and Snorlax appear more niche and may require specific support to become viable.

The Puppy Pile archetype and its dedicated Supporter seem designed primarily to appeal to casual players who love cute Pokémon, although there may still be room for interesting single-prize strategies.

Another curious aspect of the trailer is the unusually high number of attacks requiring two or even three Energy, something rarely seen in previous formats dominated by faster decks.
Is this the beginning of a slower, more strategic metagame with fewer games decided by coin flips? That remains to be seen.

Alongside the release, players can also expect several events throughout July, including the Everyday Wonders Emblem Event, Community Week Missions, the Hisuian Zorua Drop Event featuring Promo Pack Vol. 10, and a Wonder Pick event focused on Growlithe and Emolga, offering exclusive promotional cards and dog-themed cosmetics.
